Art Deco vintage eternity band by Cartier set with approximately .60 carats of carré-cut rubies and .74 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds in platinum. The band features a central row of round brilliant diamonds framed by precisely fitted channels of calibré carré cut rubies, a geometric composition characteristic of Art Deco jewelry. Carré cut stones with straight step facets were widely used during the 1920s and 1930s for their crisp architectural appearance and ability to form continuous bands of color. The clean linear design and platinum mounting reflect the refined symmetry and precision associated with Cartier’s Art Deco production.
