Art Deco diamond eternity band set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.60 carats total. Set in iridium platinum. 2.2 mm width. Circa 1925 with engraved date.
This Art Deco band is subtle and the engraved sides are added bonus, but what is also very interesting is the iridium platinum. Iridium is IR with atomic number 77 and the 2nd densest metal used to add hardness, adding a bit of STEM to romance.
Diamond and gold mining has caused devastation in areas such as Africa, wreaking havoc on delicate ecosystems and communities. Choosing to go vintage, you are eliminating the need for more mining and lessening the demand for new diamonds.
